1.     Vastu Shastra being an ancient science deals in residential buildings, factories and industries. Vastu can be applied on flowers and plants in the house.

2.     The plants play significant role in activating positive energy to our day to day life. Here is what Vastu says about plants. 

3. Tulsi or Basil plant is most powerful and auspicious plant. The plant should be located in the North, East and North-east of the house. Tulsi can be grown at the front or the back of the house.
4. Banyan and Peepel tree are sacred trees so they should be planted near temple or sacred place.    
5. The trees should not be planted in front of the entrance of house.
6. Big trees can be planted in the South and West portion of the house.  They should not be too close to the building as they block sunlight and roots of the tree can damage foundation. The roots of big trees absorb sunlight and do not allow them to reach the house. 
7. Small trees can be planted in the East and North side. But no tree should be planted in North-east corner.   
8. Thorny plants should not be planted in the house as these plants except rose can have negative energy. 
9. The creepers should be planted near entrance door. It should not be raised on compound wall of the building. It is good to plant creeper in garden.
10. Avoid milky trees in the house as it may affect the health of family members.

Brahmasthan is a unique feature of ancient architecture based on Vastu Shastra. It is central, holiest and powerful zone of the house. All directions meet at the center of the house and disperse positive energy in all directions. This positive energy is very useful for living beings of the occupants of the house. Brahmasthan is also important place for factories and industries. The central place is identified by painting ceiling with a different color. If people want to enjoy riches, harmony and happiness, Brahmasthan should be left open and is free of obstructing objects. In ancient time, it was common to construct a courtyard at the centre of house which was open to sky and to the rooms around courtyard.

Identification of Brahmasthan

Divide the plot into 8 equal parts from East to West and North to South. Now the plot is divided into 64 equal parts. The four squares at the center of plot are the place of Brahmasthan.


Tips for Brahmasthan


1. Main hall, Pooja Room or Courtyard can be constructed at the centre of the house.


2. Toilets and Bathroom should not be built at the centre of the house.


3. Kitchen at the center may have adverse effect on health.


4. Generally, in duplex houses staircases are built at center of house. It may affect mental and financial growth of the residents.


5. The pillar having a load of structure makes the centre heavy that’s a big Vastu defect.


6. Sleeping at the centre place will mess up the life.


7. There should not be a beam at the center of house.


8. Beams,arches,store room etc. should not be constructed at Brahmsthana.

Vastu Shastra recommends some principles for construction of water sump in the building. According to Vastu, water elements should be available in the Northeast of the building. The following are some principles to build overhead and underground water tanks. 

Under Ground Water Tank/Well

The best place for digging the sump is the North-East of the plot. This leads to increase in wealth, prosperity and knowledge. While digging the sump, an axis should be drawn from the Northeast corner to southwest corner. The sump should be dug to the right or left side of axis. The sump in east of northeast is most beneficial and the sump in north of northeast is also good.

Water sump should not be towards Southeast or Northwest. The sump in the Southwest is worst. Avoid water sump at the centre of the house. 

Overhead Water Tank

Overhead water tank should be in the West or Southwest direction of the building as these are negative zones of the house. Due to water in the tank, it becomes heavy, creates a balance of energies in the house and proves to be useful. Overhead tank in west direction is also beneficial.   

Overhead tank should not be built in the Northeast of building.  The tank in northeast direction will make it heavy; which is a big Vastu defect. It should not also be built in the South-east as it may cause loss of wealth and has adverse effect on health. Tank can be built in the Northwest of the house, but it should be small in size. Overhead water tank is not good at centre of house as it is a heavy structure and will make the centre heavy. Tank should be 2 feet above form the slab. 

There should not be leakage in overhead tank as it can cause outflow of money. Overhead tank should not be made of plastic. If it is of plastic, it should be of black or blue colour as these colours absorb sun rays which create positive energy when absorbed in water.

The office of Chairman or General Manager should be built in southwest or south direction of the building. He should sit in southwest direction facing north. His desk should be rectangular. Employees should sit facing the North or East. Employees should not sit under beam. If any other alternative is not possible, the loft of beam can be covered with wooden board. 

Place heavy almirah or safe in the southwest in which important documents are stored. Pantry of office should be built in southeast of the building as southeast direction is a place for fire. The centre of office should not have any heavy structure. Paint office in light colours. Avoid dark colours as they make us short tempered. Doors and windows of office should be in the north and east direction. Don’t use paintings depicting sadness in the office. These painting may affect harmony among office staff.

               അടുത്തതായി കുജന്‍(ചൊവ്വ) ജാതകത്തില്‍ വിവിധ ഭാവങ്ങളില്‍ നിന്നാലുള്ള ഫലങ്ങള്‍ ആണ് നമ്മള്‍ പഠിക്കാന്‍ പോകുന്നത്. കുജന്‍ ഒരു പാപഗ്രഹമാണ് എന്ന കാര്യം നമുക്ക് എല്ലാവര്‍ക്കും അറിയാം. കുജദോഷം (ചൊവ്വദോഷം) എന്താണെന്നു കേള്‍ക്കാത്തവരോ അറിയാത്തവരോ വളരെ ചുരുക്കം മാത്രമേ ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കുകയുള്ളു. അങ്ങനെയുള്ള ഗ്രഹമാണ് ചൊവ്വ എന്നും അംഗാരകായ്‌കന്‍ (വളരെയധികം ചൂട് കൂടിയ ഗ്രഹം) എന്നും പേരുകളുള്ള കുജന്‍.

     കുജന്‍ ജാതകന്റെ ലഗ്നത്തില്‍(ഒന്നാം ഭാവത്തില്‍) നില്‍ക്കുകയാണെങ്കില്‍ ജാതകന്‍ വളരെയധികം ക്രൂരസ്വഭാവമുള്ള ആളായിരിക്കും. അതുപോലെ തന്നെ അതിസാഹസിക പ്രവര്‍ത്തികളില്‍ ഏര്‍പ്പെടുന്ന ആളായിരിക്കും. വളരെയധികം അഭിമാനി ആയിരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും. ആരു പറഞ്ഞാലും കൂട്ടാക്കാത്ത പ്രകൃതക്കാരനായിരിക്കും. ഇത്തരക്കാരില്‍ പലരും അല്പായുസ്സുകളായിരിക്കും.

 കാരണം കുജന് ഏഴിലെക്കും എട്ടിലേക്കും ദൃഷ്ടിയുള്ളതു കൊണ്ടാണ് ഇങ്ങനെ സംഭവിക്കുന്നത്. ഇത്തരക്കാര്‍ വളരെയധികം സഞ്ചാരശീലമുള്ളവരും ആയിരിക്കും. ആയുധങ്ങളുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ടുള്ള ജോലികളില്‍ ഏര്‍പ്പെടുക വഴി അവയില്‍ നിന്നും ധാരാളം മുറിവുകള്‍ ഉണ്ടാകാനും സാധ്യതയുണ്ട്. ലഗ്നത്തില്‍ നിന്ന് എഴാംഭാവത്തിലേക്ക് ദൃഷ്ടിയുള്ളതു കൊണ്ട് ഭാര്യ/ഭര്‍ത്യനാശം ഉണ്ടാവാനും ഇടയുണ്ട്. അതുകൊണ്ടാണ് ഒരാള്‍ക്ക് കുജദോഷമുണ്ടെങ്കില്‍ വിവാഹത്തിലെ മറ്റു പങ്കാളിക്കും അതുപോലെ കുജദോഷം വേണമെന്ന് പറയുന്നത്. 

ഈ ജാതകന് തലയില്‍ എന്തെങ്കിലും രോഗങ്ങള്‍ ഉണ്ടാകാനുള്ള സാധ്യതയും കുറവല്ല. ജാതകന് നുണ പറയുന്ന സ്വഭാവവും വളരെ കൂടുതലായിരിക്കും. ചെറുപ്പക്കാലത്ത് ഉദരരോഗം, ദന്തരോഗം, ത്വക്ക്രോഗങ്ങള്‍ കൊണ്ടുള്ള ശല്യം സഹിക്കുന്ന വ്യക്തിയും ആയിരിക്കും.

     പൊതുവേ കുജന്‍ ലഗ്നത്തില്‍ ഇരിക്കുന്നത് വളരെ നല്ലതല്ല. എങ്കിലും കുജന്‍ ലഗ്നത്തില്‍ സ്വക്ഷേത്രത്തില്‍ ഇരിക്കുകയാണെങ്കില്‍ ആരോഗ്യം, ശരീരദാര്‍ഡ്യം എന്നീ ഗുണങ്ങള്‍ നല്‍കുന്നതാണ്. അതുപോലെ സര്‍ക്കാരില്‍ നിന്നും ബഹുമതികള്‍ക്കും പാത്രീഭൂതനായി തീരും. ഈ ജാതകന് കീര്‍ത്തിയും, ദീരഘായുസ്സും ഉണ്ടാകുന്നതിനോടൊപ്പം കുജന്‍ ഉച്ചത്തിലാണെങ്കില്‍ വിദ്യയും, ധനവും ധാരാളം ഉണ്ടാകും എന്നാണ് അനുമാനിക്കേണ്ടത്.

     പക്ഷെ പലപ്പോഴും ജാതകന്‍ സിംഹതുല്യ പ്രതാപി ആയാലും പ്രവര്‍ത്തനങ്ങളുടെ ഫലം ലഭിക്കുന്നതില്‍ പല തടസ്സങ്ങളും അനുഭവപ്പെടാറുണ്ട്. ജാതകത്തില്‍ കുജന്‍ കൂടുതല്‍ ബലവാനാണെങ്കില്‍ ചെറുപ്പക്കാലത്ത് കുട്ടികള്‍ക്ക് ചൂടുകുരുക്കള്‍, ചൊറി, ചിരങ്ങ് എന്നീ രോഗങ്ങള്‍ വരാവുന്നതാണ്.

     ലഗ്നം മേടമോ, ചിങ്ങമോ, ധനുവോ ആയി അവിടെ ചൊവ്വ നില്‍ക്കുകയാണെങ്കില്‍ ജാതകന് തലവേദനയും, രക്തദോഷവും അനുഭവപ്പെടുന്നത് കൂടാതെ ജാതകന്‍ വളരെ സാഹസിയും, കഠിന സ്വഭാവക്കാരനും ആയിതീരാനുള്ള സാധ്യതയും ഉണ്ട്. അതുപോലെ ലഗ്നം മിഥുനം, തുലാം, കുംഭം ഇവയില്‍ ഏതെങ്കിലും ഒന്നാണെങ്കില്‍ പ്രയത്നഫലം ലഭിക്കാറായ ഘട്ടത്തില്‍ പലതരം ക്ലേശങ്ങള്‍ അനുഭവപ്പെടുന്നതാണ്. പലപ്പോഴും വീട് വിട്ട് നില്‍ക്കെണ്ടതായും വരാം.

     ഇടവം, കന്നി, മകരം മുതലായവയില്‍ ഏതെങ്കിലുമൊരു ലഗ്നമാണ് ജാതകന്റെ എങ്കില്‍ അയാള്‍ സ്വാര്‍ത്ഥനും, പരവിദ്വേഷവും, വഴക്കിടുന്ന സ്വഭാവവും, ലഹരി പ്രിയനും ആയിരിക്കും.

     ലഗ്നം കര്‍ക്കിടകം, വൃശ്ചികം, മീനം എന്നിവയില്‍ ഏതെങ്കിലും ഒന്നാണെങ്കില്‍, വ്യക്തിക്ക് മദ്യപാനാസക്തി, വ്യഭിചാരാസക്തി എന്നിവ കൂടുതലായിരിക്കും. ഡോക്ടര്‍മാരുടെ ജാതകത്തില്‍ ലഗ്നത്തില്‍ ചൊവ്വ നിന്നാല്‍ അവര്‍ക്ക് ശസ്ത്രക്രിയയില്‍ വലിയ താല്പര്യമുണ്ടാകും. ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ള ഗൃഹനില വക്കീലിനാണെങ്കില്‍ അയാള്‍ ക്രിമിനല്‍ കേസുകളില്‍ കൂടുതല്‍ താല്പര്യം കാണിക്കും.

 അതുപോലെതന്നെ പെട്ടെന്ന്‍ ധനം സമ്പാദിക്കാനുള്ള വഴികളില്‍ താല്‍പര്യം തോന്നാം. ഗാംബ്ലിംഗ്(ചുതുകളി) മുതലായ കാര്യങ്ങളില്‍ താല്‍പര്യമുണ്ടായിരിക്കാം. പൊതുവേ കൃശശരീരനാണെങ്കിലും സാഹസിക കാര്യങ്ങളില്‍ താല്‍പര്യമുള്ളവനായിരിക്കും. വ്യാപാരസംബന്ധമായ കാര്യങ്ങളില്‍ താല്‍പര്യമുള്ളയാളായിരിക്കും. പക്ഷെ പലപ്പോഴും ബുദ്ധി സമയത്ത് പ്രവര്‍ത്തിക്കാത്തത് കൊണ്ട് വേണ്ടപോലെ അഭിവൃദ്ധി ഉണ്ടായിക്കൊള്ളണമെന്നില്ല.

     ഈ ജാതകന് അഗ്നിയില്‍ നിന്നും, കള്ളന്മാരില്‍ നിന്നും അപകടങ്ങള്‍ സംഭവിക്കാന്‍ സാധ്യതയുണ്ട്. ഇയാള്‍ വളെരെയധികം അഭിമാനി ആയിരിക്കും. കുജന്‍ മാരകസ്ഥാനത്ത് ഇരിക്കുന്നത്കൊണ്ട് പലപ്പോഴും ആയുസ്സ് കുറവായിരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും. ധനം വരുമെങ്കിലും അനാവശ്യകാര്യങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് വേണ്ടി ചിലവഴിക്കുന്നത് കൊണ്ട് എല്ലായ്പ്പോഴും ഈ വ്യക്തിക്ക് ധനക്ലേശം അനുഭവിക്കേണ്ടിവരും. 

പലപ്പോഴും ഈ ജാതകന് വൃത്തി കുറവായിരിക്കും. നല്ല രീതിയില്‍ വസ്ത്രധാരണം ചെയ്യാന്‍ താല്‍പര്യമുണ്ടായിരിക്കുകയില്ല. മേടം, ചിങ്ങം, ധനു എന്നീ രാശികളിലാണ് ചൊവ്വ ഇരിക്കുന്നതെങ്കില്‍ ലോട്ടറി, പന്തയം, ഊഹകച്ചവടം എന്നീവഴിലൂടെ ധനം സംബാധിക്കുമെങ്കിലും മറ്റു കാരണവശാല്‍ ചൊവ്വയ്ക്ക്‌ ബലകുറവുണ്ടെങ്കില്‍ ആ ധനത്തെ നിലനിര്‍ത്താന്‍ കഴിയാതെ വരും.

     ഇനി കുജന്‍ മൂന്നാം ഭാവത്തില്‍ ഇരുന്നാലുള്ള ഫലങ്ങള്‍ നോക്കാം.

     ഒരാളുടെ ജാതകത്തില്‍ കുജന്‍ മൂന്നാംഭാവത്തിലാണെങ്കില്‍ ആ വ്യക്തി വളരെ ശൂരനും വീരപരാക്രമിയും ആയിരിക്കും. പെട്ടെന്ന് മറ്റുള്ളവര്‍ക്ക് കീഴ്പ്പെടുന്നവന്‍ ആയിരിക്കുകയില്ല. പക്ഷെ ഈ ജാതകന് ജീവിതത്തില്‍ സഹോദര വിയോഗം അനുഭവികേണ്ടി വരാം. അതായത് സഹോദരങ്ങള്‍ ഇല്ലാതിരിക്കുകയോ, ഉള്ള സഹോദരങ്ങള്‍ നഷ്ടപ്പെടുകയോ ആവാം.

ധാര്‍മ്മിക കാര്യങ്ങളില്‍ നല്ലവണ്ണം താല്‍പര്യമുണ്ടായിരിക്കും. അതുകൊണ്ടുതന്നെ നല്ല ആത്മധൈര്യം ഉള്ള ആളായിരിക്കും. കുജനോടൊപ്പം രാഹുകേതുക്കള്‍ ചേര്‍ന്നാല്‍ ഈ വ്യക്തിക്ക് സ്വഭാവദൂഷ്യം അനുഭവപ്പെടാം. പ്രത്യേകിച്ചും സ്ത്രീവിഷയങ്ങളില്‍ ആയിരിക്കും കൂടുതല്‍ താല്‍പര്യം. ഈ ജാതകന്‍ മറ്റുള്ളവരെ ജയിക്കുന്നതിനു വേണ്ടി തന്‍റെ കഴിവുകളെ പരമാവധി ഉപയോഗിക്കും. സ്വന്തം അഭിപ്രായങ്ങളെ മറ്റുള്ളവരുടെ മേല്‍ അടിച്ചേല്‍പ്പിക്കാന്‍ ശ്രമിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.

     ജാതകത്തില്‍ ചന്ദ്രന്‍ പതിനൊന്നാം ഭാവത്തിലാണെങ്കില്‍ ജാതകന്‍ ധനവാനും, കൂടുതല്‍ സന്താനങ്ങലുള്ളവനും, ദീര്‍ഘായുസ്സും, ധാരാളം ഭൃത്യന്മാരുള്ളവനും മൃദുല സ്വഭാവക്കാരനും പ്രശസ്തനും ആയിരിക്കും. അതുപോലെ ഈ ജാതകന്‍ സ്ത്രീ സംബന്ധമായ വിഷയങ്ങളില്‍ വളരെ താല്‍പര്യമുള്ളവനായിരിക്കും. സ്വഗൃഹത്തില്‍ നല്ല ഐശ്വര്യം ഉള്ളവനായിരിക്കും. സര്‍ക്കാരില്‍ നിന്നും വളെരെയധികം സൗജന്യങ്ങള്‍ അനുഭവിക്കാന്‍ യോഗമുണ്ടായിരിക്കും. നല്ല നടപടികള്‍ ഉള്ള ആളായിരിക്കും. വളരെയധികം ലജ്ജാലൂ ആയിരിക്കും. മറ്റുള്ളവരില്‍ നിന്നും വളെരെയധികം ബഹുമാനങ്ങള്‍ ലഭിക്കാന്‍ ഇടവരുന്നതാണ്. ജീവിതത്തില്‍ നല്ല നിലയില്‍ സ്വന്തമായി ധാരാളം വാഹനങ്ങള്‍ ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കും. എല്ലായ്പ്പോഴും പ്രസന്നനായിരിക്കും. ഈ ജാതകന്‍ സുഖാനുഭവങ്ങളുടെ ലാഭം അനുഭവപ്പെടുന്നവനായിരിക്കും.

     ചന്ദ്രന്‍റെ പന്ത്രണ്ടില്‍ ഉള്ള ഇരിപ്പുകൊണ്ട് ഉള്ള ചിലവുകള്‍ സദ്‌ കാര്യങ്ങള്‍ക്കുള്ള ചിലവുകളാണ്. യജ്ഞ യാഗാദികര്‍മ്മങ്ങള്‍ക്കും, തീര്‍ത്ഥാടനത്തിനും, വിവാഹാദികര്‍മ്മങ്ങള്‍ക്കും ഉള്ള ചിലവുകള്‍ ഇതില്‍ ഉള്‍പ്പെടും.

     ചന്ദ്രന്‍ നല്ല സ്ഥലങ്ങളില്‍ ഇരുന്നാല്‍ (പന്ത്രണ്ടില്‍) മേല്‍പ്പറഞ്ഞ ദോഷങ്ങള്‍ കുറയും. പന്ത്രണ്ടാം ഭാവം പരലോകത്തിന്റെ കൂടി കാരകനായത്കൊണ്ട് പന്ത്രണ്ടില്‍ ചന്ദ്രനോടൊപ്പം മറ്റുപാപഗൃഹങ്ങള്‍ കൂടി ഇരിക്കുകയാണെങ്കില്‍ മരണാന്തരം നരകം ലഭിക്കുമെന്ന് കൂടി പറയണം.

     ചന്ദ്രന്‍ വൃശ്ചികത്തിലോ (നീച്ചസ്ഥാനത്ത്) മകരത്തിലോ ഇരുന്നാല്‍ ജാതകന്‍ ദുര്‍നടപടിക്കാരനായിരിക്കാന്‍ സാധ്യതയുണ്ട്. ദരിദ്രനുമായിരിക്കും.
